Description

If I could touch you one last time,
If I could see your face...
If I had just one more moment,
I'd kiss Away The Pain....

A portrayal of a young she-wolf overcome with grief by the Death of her Lover, not knowing he's still there beside her, always.

A contest Entry for: =Cottondragon's Contest!

The object of the contest was to get inspired by the song "Comptine D'Un Autre Ete L'Apris Midi".
And all I could thing of listening to it was sadness. Grief. Perhaps that is because I am in grief over a death in the family and the loss of some of my beloved pets. But this is the image that came into my head. At first it was difficult to get down. The original concept was a she-wolf standing alone in the shadows, little wisps of snow shimmering through the gloom as it feel around her. Tears are freezing to her cheek, and surrounding her was this aura of all-consuming love and tenderness from her mate who's passed on. This obviously came out a little differently then I'd expected, but I am VERY happy with it. It's my first attempt at making anything glow. lol, let me know what you all think! (Oh, and on a side-note...his tongue is actually touching her cheek. for some reason it was WAY more visible on my computer then online. 0.o weird. It looks like it's going behind her but it's not.)

Media: Ink and digital painting.

I couldn't decide of I'd rather do it in colored pencil or Ink. But I remembered my scanner tends to make anything of color have a purple haze over it for whatever reason....so I chose digital. I put alot of effort into it, worked just about all night to get it up. Enjoy and show some loves!! *squishes*
