Details

Personality: patient, persevering and strong willed. Orba is a good student and an even better teacher, absorbing knowledge easily and retaining it well. She is either a saint or a sinner. she tends to hold things inside and suffer in silence. She is frank, methodical and believes in law, system and order. She loves children, even though she's never had any of her own, and she likes playing the cool auntie to every fawn in Glenmore. Children like to be around her too, because she can be playful and care-free with them, while also dispensing good life lessons  and inspiring them to follow their dreams.

Appearance: Orba is very tall for a Glenmore doe, with a medium-light build. She is not exceptionally petite, but VERY sultry- she sports all the right curves in all the right places. She is not considered highly attractive to Glenmore stags however, as she does sport a horn. One with 2 prongs that curl over themselves. the One prong is slightly taller then the other prong. Her mane and tail are full of wild curls, gorgeous ringlets that are very comely. She also sports a necklace crafted of green cord and encrusted with black river pearls and amethysts. In her ears also lingers hints of these semi-precious stones, then two smaller piercings adorned in small iridescent purple feathers. 2 more of these purple feathers, along with 2 magpie feathers are braided into the base of her tail, which and bound in green vine cording. In winter she changes these to leather cording, and she has a magpie as a companion. Orba has a scars across her right eye from when she was attacked by a large honey badger. She can see out of the eye, but she tends to hide the scar beneath waves of her curls which she purposely grows long and trains to fall over her face to do so.

History: Orba's mother was an elder Glenmore herbalist, and her father was and equally aging Royal Guard. If Orba could have made her own choices in life, she'd probably be in a much different place than she is in now. She would have tried out for the Royal Guard. Of course, because she is not a male she could not work herself into the occupation, and so opted to get into a profession of Healing, Herbalism, and magick. She enjoys her job, and is loyal to her work. As an herbalist, I'd like to apply her for a healing advisor, as this may also play well into self conflict when trouble arises in Glenmore and she must either choose to follow her heart and lend her voice to Doe Rights, or to stick to her commitments and need for structure and a defined order of things. Orba's father always wanted a son, but sadly his only colt was killed by a fox before it's first year and he was only gifted with a single daughter. As such, he chose to dispense his knowledge upon the doeling in secret, sometimes taking her out on patrol when he was working solo, and teaching her his tricks and tactics when it came to tracking, hunting, avoiding and defending against predators as well as intruders. He also taught her how to outwit stalkers, to back-track, to mask her scent, and how to most effectively camouflage herself into her surroundings to avoid detection. As such, Orba has the potential to become a fantastic guide in the wildernesses of Glenmore.  When her horn started to grow in, her father did the unimaginable, and taught her basic self defense strategies should she ever run into an enemy and find she had to defend herself. Again, this was done in secret, but perhaps her father's ambitions have lended a hand in Orba's outspoken nature and her feelings about Doe Equality. Her mother taught her herbalism and Earth Magick, taught her how to listen to birdsong to understand what the forest had to say. Taught her to listen to the trees to feel how healthy the forest is. 

When Orba was 9 years old, she was out exploring in the forest, putting her tracker skills to the test after been challenged by her father to do so. She was tracking a large animal, though she could not yet identify it. Unfortunately for her, the animal turned out to be a large and particularly aggressive Honey Badger, who had circled back and cornered her in a steep ravine. Her father came in the nick of time to save her, but sadly suffered such great wounds it is said he wandered off into the forest after the encounter to die. He was never seen again. Orba feels terribly guilty, believing herself responsible for her father's death. She is ashamed and burdened by this fact.
